It has been a year since I joined the Grand Council and what a year it has been. My wife lost her Mother just over a year ago and she and her family needed some real answers from the NHS Trust as to how and why scans etc missed a massive growth. She was given the run around and after many months of letter writing finally used her title as Lady of the Manor. Blimey. Instant response and finally a result.
Similarly our daughter in law was visiting relations in the north of England when one of the children decided to climb out of the cot and fall down stairs. naturally he was taken to hospital and they decided to keep him in. refused to allow Daughter in law access stating child was at risk. After several days I contacted the hospital and introduced myself as his grandfather and Lord etc. Wow .. Grandso released into daughter in laws care within the hour.
On a lighter note we went on holiday to Las Vegas and when I registered my card at the hotel reception we received an immediate upgrade. Lovely.
The one thing that having a 'Title' does do is give you a sense of responsibility. I actively raise money for my personal charities. and feel an obligation to continue to do so.
Thank you for looking at this post.
