Hi, I’m Patrick and I’m a ---ooops sorry wrong forum I am retired and have been since I was 53. Have been everything from paper boy to white van man, naval reservist to police constable, milkman to warehouse manager, postman to post office counters manager, casual farm labourer to smallholder, (not necessarily in that order) Life has been roller coaster but we have enjoyed the ride. Since retirement we have built our own home and smallholding but in late 2011 sold up and bought a derelict Edwardian house which has been lovingly restored. First marriage was short lived but have been married to Linda for 37 years with four children and six grandchildren. Have been involved with various committees and parents associations and ran car boots for schools parents associations. After visiting an orphanage in Kenya several years ago we have been actively raising monies which we send over every year. Mainly by buying boxes of stuff from auction rooms and selling at car boot sales, I am fortunate enough to be allowed a pitch without fees and all I have made at the end of season goes to the orphanage. If you look at barakachildrenshome.org you will see we are listed as sponsors (Linda and Patrick Dipper) We are also National Trust volunteers at Greenway, Agatha Christie’s home near Dartmouth.
