As part of our ongoing commitment to ensuring we serve our members, our library of manorial resources is increasing. We were very pleased to recently obtain a copy of ENGLISH BARONIES: A Study of their Origin and Descent, 1086–1327 by I J Sanders. This is the key reference text for anyone working in the area, and was published by Clarendon press in 1960. Only one edition was ever printed, and it is quite hard to come by. Fortunately we have a very good antiquarian book-finder, who has tracked one down for us.
